Press release

JSC Research Institute Gidropribor was founded in 1972 as the Ural branch of the Leningrad Central Research Institute Gidropribor. Since 1993, the institute has been specializing in the field of small shipbuilding and marine engineering. Design, construction, repair and maintenance of sea and river vessels has become the main activity of the institute, providing the necessary amount of work, a stable financial position.

With the acquisition of independence by the Republic of Kazakhstan, the institute was transformed into JSC "NII" Gidropribor "and in 2003 became part of JSC" National Company "Kazakhstan Engineering".

JSC "NII" Gidropribor "has highly qualified engineering and technical personnel, production, research and laboratory facilities, which allows us to combine in a single technological cycle - scientific research - design - production of prototypes - testing - development of production, contributing to the competitiveness of products .

To date, JSC "NII" Gidropribor "designed and built about 30 ships with a displacement of 7 to 150 tons for various purposes .

For the period from 2003-2020 JSC "NII" Gidropribor "developed a series of small-sized river and sea vessels of coastal navigation.

Including: service and crew boats "Shagala" and "Sapsan", fireboats, self-propelled and non-self-propelled ferries, high-speed boat - interceptor "Sagym " is not inferior in its technical and operational characteristics to the best world standards.

In 2016, in the year of the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an icebreaking and towing boat was built, which drank the name Kazhymukan in honor of the legendary Kazakh wrestler Kazhymukan Munaitpasova .

The boat is specially designed for towing and transport operations in the northern part of the Caspian Sea and has already been successfully tested in ice conditions.

The constructed vessels are successfully operated in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Other important areas of JSC "NII" Gidropribor "is the design, development of production and manufacture of mobile container diving systems for the Naval Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Also, in the Kazakhstani sector of the Caspian Sea, modern buoys and milestones were installed, the designer and manufacturer of which is JSC Research Institute Gidropribor.

For the oil and gas industry, the manufacture of equipment for metering devices for the passage of oil and gas through the pipeline has been mastered.

The Institute is focused on scientific research, design, single and small-scale production of high-tech products, and includes research and design and technological divisions with a laboratory and testing base, pilot production.

Robotics has been and remains a priority area of the Institute's activities. The Institute, using the existing experience in the development of mobile robotic systems (RTOs) for underwater use, plans, in partnership with leading foreign companies in this field of technology, to master the design and production of RTOs for surface use (unmanned boat).

To perform work, there are necessary licenses, certificates and certificates, in particular, the “Recognition Certificate” of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and the Register of Shipping of Kazakhstan. The company has implemented an international quality management system.

Prospects for the development of JSC Research Institute Gidropribor are associated with the implementation of investment projects to expand and upgrade the production of small boats, robotic systems and equipment for the oil and gas industry.

Technological capabilities and experience gained in the creation of high-tech and science-intensive equipment allow the team of JSC "NII" Gidropribor "to confidently look into the future.
